Book SessionThe laser targets melanin (pigment) in the hair follicle. It heats and damages the follicle during the active growth phase (anagen), reducing its ability to produce hair. Since only 20–30% of hair is in the growth phase at any time, multiple sessions are needed to catch all follicles.
Indian skin (Fitzpatrick III–V) has more melanin in both hair AND skin. Using the wrong laser can cause burns and post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation. At Gomti Clinic:
