What Determines Your Total Cost
- Graft count: A Norwood 3 patient might need 1,500 grafts; Norwood 5 could need 3,000+
- Technique: FUE costs more per graft than FUT due to longer extraction time
- Area: Receding hairline vs. crown vs. full coverage affects total count
- Session count: Some patients need a second session 8–12 months later for additional
density
What's Included in the Price
- Pre-operative blood work and assessment
- Local anaesthesia
- The transplant procedure itself
- Post-operative medications (1 week)
- Follow-up visits at 1 week, 1 month, 3 months, and 6 months
Red Flags When Comparing Prices in Lucknow
We see patients who come to us after unsatisfactory experiences elsewhere. Common warning signs:
- "Unlimited grafts for ₹30,000" — This usually means low-quality technique. Good
transplants take 6–8 hours with careful extraction and placement
- Technician-performed transplants: The surgeon should be extracting and placing grafts,
not an untrained assistant. Ask who actually performs the procedure
- No pre-operative assessment: If a clinic agrees to transplant without trichoscopy,
blood work, or discussion of alternatives, that's a concern
- Guarantees of "100% density": No transplant achieves pre-hair-loss density. 50–70
follicles/cm² is a good result
When We Recommend NOT Getting a Transplant
We turn away hair transplant patients when:
- Hair loss is still actively progressing — transplanted hair will look isolated as surrounding hair thins
- Donor area is too thin — insufficient grafts for meaningful coverage
- Patient is under 22 — hair loss pattern isn't established yet
- Non-surgical options haven't been tried first
In these cases, we recommend medical management and/or PRP
therapy as the first step.
