Our Position on AI in Dermatology

AI is increasingly present in healthcare — from diagnostic support tools to content generation. At Gomti Clinic, we believe in being transparent about where AI plays a role and where it doesn't. Patients visiting us from Gomti Nagar, Aliganj, or any other Lucknow neighborhood deserve to know exactly what tools are involved in their care.

Where AI May Be Used

• Website content assistance: Some content on drankitaderma.com may use AI tools for drafting and formatting. However, all medical claims, treatment descriptions, pricing, and clinical information are reviewed and approved by Dr. Ankita Kumari (MD Dermatology, IMS BHU)
• Administrative tasks: AI tools may assist with scheduling optimization, patient communication templates, and operational tasks
• Research support: AI tools may be used to review medical literature and summarize treatment protocol updates from dermatology journals

Where AI Is NOT Used

• Clinical diagnosis: Every diagnosis at Gomti Clinic is made by a qualified doctor based on clinical examination — not by an AI system
• Treatment decisions: Treatment plans are created by Dr. Ankita or the clinical team based on individual patient assessment, not algorithmic recommendations
• Procedure execution: All procedures — laser operations, PRP therapy, chemical peels, injections — are performed by trained clinical staff under Dr. Ankita's supervision
• Patient data processing: Patient medical records are not fed into external AI systems

Why This Matters

A patient from Hazratganj or Indira Nagar who walks into our Church Road clinic for melasma treatment will always be assessed by a human doctor who considers their specific skin type, UV exposure history, hormonal profile, and previous treatment responses. No AI tool — no matter how advanced — can replace the clinical judgment that comes from years of residency training at IMS BHU and daily patient management at Gomti Clinic.

Commitment Going Forward

As AI technology evolves, we may adopt additional tools that improve patient care or clinic efficiency. If and when we do, this page will be updated to disclose those uses transparently. Our commitment remains: AI may assist our operations, but clinical expertise drives patient care.
